Sr. Amal holds a BA in the English language, literature and translation from the faculty of human studies, department of English, Al-Azhar University. She is certified to teach recitation from Al-Azhar Shubr-al-Khema Institute, Cairo, Egypt. She received an ijaza from Um-Abdussalam-khadija bint Saad, and is a student of Sheikh Az-Zayyat in Egypt, Cairo; and from Sheikh Saad Hasaneen from Alexandria, She resides in the United States in Dallas, Texas. Sr. Amal has held various Qur'an teaching positions in Egypt and the United States.
