This book is a timely addition to the English medium library of literature on Islamic sciences. Unfortunately, in contemporary society, Islamic beliefs and practices have been relegated to the status of mere ritual practices in all aspects of human life. In this book, Dr. Muhammad Salama contextualizes the final divine message to humankind, the Qur’an, by extracting from it the classical Islamic views on state, political systems, the relationship between the ruler and his subjects, international relations, the judiciary system, in addition to many other related issues.
