The Need for Islamic Finance in The Gambia; a public lecture organized by The Gambia Students' Committee, was held at the IOU Global headquarters and live on Zoom on January 9, 2021. 

The guest speaker Mr. Muhamad Zubair Mughal, chief executive officer Al Huda CIBE, Pakistan, and Students' Committee speakers discussed Islamic finances, differences between conventional and Islamic banking, Islamic bonds, challenges faced by the Islamic financial industry, and the current status of Islamic banking in The Gambia.
